Fall Makeup Tutorial

October 25, 2017

Hey Loves!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons full of layering clothes, autumn colors, and seasonal vibes. At least as much as I can get with Florida weather. Today, I created an autumnal makeup look for an everyday working lady. Now you can use products that work best for you or are similar but these are what I specifically used for my makeup look.

First starting off with the base for my face, I moisturize with the oil-free Cetaphil moisturizer. Then I use a pea sized amount of my Lorac Light Source 3-in-1 primer to prep for my foundation. For the makeup, I start off by using my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation in the shade Wheat (3N2), which gives a medium coverage without getting cakey. I use an rounded, angled kabuki brush to smooth it out and buff it in even down to my neck. Then I apply my Urban Decay eyeshadow primer in the shade Eden and rub it throughout my eyelids. I take my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the shade Sand (20) and put it underneath my eyes, chin, and middle of my forehead. I then take another rounded kabuki brush to blend that out. A little goes a long way and this is a great drugstore dupe to the NARS creamy concealer.

Then, I take my Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow pomade in the shade Ebony and fill in my eyebrows with their duo spoolie brush. Then, I take my L’Oreal brow gel in the color medium to dark and swipe that throughout my hairs to place them. The eyebrows are an integral part of makeup because they really shape your face and eyes.

Moving onto the main part of this look, the eyeshadow, I mainly utilized my Morphe 35O palette. I use this palette almost everyday because it includes 35 eyeshadows consisting of warm browns, beiges, oranges, and maroons. The majority are matte shades which I use more of for everyday looks. But since there are shimmery shades, I can easily utilize it for a full glam. If you couldn’t already tell, I highly recommend this eyeshadow palette.

My first shade, shown on the image above, is a warm pinkish shade. I use it as a base shade to give a slight depth to the crease and slightly above the crease, since I do have mono-lids. I then use the second shade, which is a deeper warm taupe color, as a transition shade in the crease. Afterwards, I take my third eyeshadow, a more brownish maroon color, and blend it all on the lower portion of my lid, right above the eyelash line. Then, I take one shimmery color which is a brown with a subtle, yellowish gold glitter and place it on the middle of my lid. Lastly, I take the dark warm dark brown color and brush it onto the outer v of my eyelid. I made sure to blend all the shades so that there are no harsh lines. I, then, took the excess of that brown shade and blended it onto my lower lash line to connect and even out the eyes.

Recently I stopped using eyeliner to be able to show off my eyelashes more with my holy grail makeup product, mascara. Personally, I think my eyelashes look longer when I don’t wear eyeliner but instead build up my mascara. I have been getting more compliments than usual on my eyelashes as well. I use two mascaras to be able to achieve this. One is the Maybelline Lash Sensational drugstore mascara which thickens my lashes, and the other is the Benefit They’re Real high-end mascara which lengthens them.

Then, I went back into my face makeup, bronzing and contouring using the Benefit Hoola bronzer which is also another fan favorite of mine. I take it to the hollows of my cheeks, sides of my forehead, underneath my jawline, as well as a swift contour for my nose. Next, I put a pop of shimmer using the L’Oreal Lumi highlighter in the shade Golden Beige (W102).  Lastly, I usually wear a tinted lip balm for an everyday look but today I used a Revlon lipstick in the shade Mink, which is a taupey brown color. And with that the look is complete!
